A week to learn about and better understand human trafficking
On the occasion of the European Anti Trafficking Day (October 18), PAG-ASA is very happy to present the fifth Human trafficking awareness week in Brussels!
A series of events from October 12 to 18 will give you the opportunity to learn about the issue, better understand its impact on victims and to gain insight in the Belgian protection procedure.
All events are free, but as a limited number of places are available, registration is required.

Documentary 13/10/2026
The Pickers
'The Pickers' is a powerful investigative documentary that takes us into the European fields where the fruit and vegetables sold in our supermarkets are harvested. Across Italy, Portugal, Greece and Spain, it follows migrant workers facing precarious jobs, low wages and harsh living conditions, revealing the human cost behind Europe’s agricultural system.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with experts from the field.
NB: The film is various languages with French and Dutch subtitles. The Q&A will be bi-lingual French and Dutch.
When: Tuesday, October 13 at 18:30

Human trafficking: An Introduction (in French )
Are you a front-line professional who comes in contact with people who might be victims of human trafficking? Do you want to learn more about exploitation, know how to recognize victims, and understand what can be done to help them?
Then this training is for you!
NB: this training session will be delivered in French; a training session in Dutch will take place on Friday, 16 October.
When: Wednesday, October 14 from 9:15 to 12:30
Where: PAG-ASA (1000 Brussels, 10 minutes by foot from the Central Station)
Registration is free but mandatory by 10 October.

Human Trafficking: An Introduction (in Dutch)
Are you a front-line professional who comes in contact with people who might be victims of human trafficking? Do you want to learn more about exploitation, know how to recognize victims, and understand what can be done to help them?
Then this training is for you!
NB: this training session will be delivered in Dutch; a training session in French will take place on Wednesday, 14 October.
When: Friday, October 16 from 09:15 to 12:30

Exhibit 13-25/10/2026
Photo-Voice. Human trafficking through victims' eyes.
Through photographs they have created themselves and personal testimonies, people supported by PAG-ASA share their experiences of human trafficking in a safe way.
An opportunity to give visibility to their voices and resilience.
When: from Octobre 13 to 25.
Where: Ground floor of the Forest City hall (rue du Curé, 2, 1190 Forest).
The exhibition is freely accessible during the opening hours of the City hall.
Installation 12-18/10/2026
Human Trafficking Hides Everywhere. Help us reveal it!
For two weeks, three large cubes displaying the silhouettes and stories of human trafficking victims will be installed at Place Poelart , in front of the Labour Court of Brussels.
The six silhouettes on the cubes represent six victims exploited in different Brussels municipalities and across various sectors: construction, prostitution and massage parlors, as well as domestic cleaning, delivery, and hospitality.
Don't hesitate to visit the installation from October 12 to 28!
